Mount St. Helens ‘Volcano Art’ Weekend
Huge thanks to Mount St. Helens Institute, the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and District, and the incredible U.S. Forest Service staff at the Science and Learning Center at Coldwater. This was a fun collaboration!
What a joyful day at Volcano Art – Open Studio weekend! The presence, creativity, and spirit of each visitor filled the space with connection and expression. Together we explored both the landscape of Mount St. Helens and the creative inner landscapes that live within us all.
We wrote, drew, painted, collaged, and created in so many unique ways!
An extra highlight was an impromptu open studio watercolor session with Girl Scouts USA, Oregon and SW Washington Chapter. What a fun group! The girls and their families brought so much kindness and enthusiasm—it truly made Sunday feel even more sunny.
I’m already looking forward to
the next time we gather in this beautiful place.
Stay tuned for more!
