Lead Guide
Susan Elizabeth Fronckowiak
With over 30 years of experience as an adventurer, teacher, and mentor, I bring a deep passion for working with people. My love of wild places, creative expression, and meaningful connection led me to this path.
As an artist, empowerment coach, and rite of passage guide, I weave together nature-based practices, council, and art to support others in stepping into deeper presence and personal transformation.
My background in education includes years of study and practice in both traditional and experiential models, with a focus on environmental and community-based learning. I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, and elders, in classrooms, wild landscapes, and community spaces—experiences that have deepened my humility and trust in the wisdom within each person and the land.
I’ve trained with the School of Lost Borders, Cascadia Quest, Wild Mountain Retreats, and the Earth Based Institute, and have guided in both remote wilderness and urban settings. I’m an active member of the Wilderness Guides’ Council and believe deeply in the power of connection and community. I’m also navigating the beautiful, complex journey of parenting two amazing teenagers… a rite of passage in itself.

Anna NorrisNNA NORRIS
Anna Norris is a plein air painter and co-founder of Norris Arts Studio & Gallery in Camas, Washington. She has journeyed from Hawaii, through the lush forests of the PNW, the deserts and coasts of California, Nevada, Utah, and beyond. These are experiences that have enriched her artistic palette and subject matter.
Her artistic journey began with pen and ink drawings, eventually transitioning to acrylics and oils during her college years. Anna’s work is deeply inspired by the interplay of light, shadow, and shape, often capturing the natural beauty of the Camas-Washougal area.
Together with her husband, Ted Norris, a seasoned ceramicist, Anna established Norris Arts in 2018. Their studio offers a range of art classes and events, fostering a community space for creativity and artistic exploration.
Anna’s paintings are featured in local galleries, including the Attic Gallery in Camas, where her works continue to contribute to the vibrant art scene of the Pacific Northwest.
“My work is rooted in honoring the wisdom within each of us, the wisdom of the land, and the sacred art of ceremony. My mission is to create spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, each other, and the greater web of life.”
